He participated in many battles as the loyal knight of the second princess of Britannia, Cornelia. He waited for Cornelia to return from her disappearance after the Black Rebellion. He served as a temporary general for Area 11, but fell under the control of Lelouch's Geass and thought that Lelouch was Cornelia, and ended up fighting against his home country. During the Second Tokyo Battle, he protected Lelouch from the F.L.E.I.J.A. explosion. He was thought to have been killed, but he actually survived.
