The director of the former Britannian Forces Advanced Special Envoy Engineering Corps (ASEEC), and the developer of the Lancelot. He is also a titled aristocrat.
After the Black Rebellion, the ASEEC was dissolved, and he went to work full-time for Suzaku who had been named Knight the Seventh.
He is a genius engineer, but has personality issues. His rival and former colleague Rakshata Chawla calls him "The Earl of Pudding," but it is unknown how he got that nickname.
He turns against Schneizel to follow Emperor Lelouch, in order to support Suzaku, who has become Knight the Zero.
